This does not need to be done prior to the first tryout date; it can be done at the fields during check-in. Thank you.
What to expect after tryouts:
Within a few weeks after tryouts, coaches will contact all players to let them know whether they made the team.
What happens if you don't make the team? Remember that these are try-outs. If you do not make the team this go around, please do not be too discouraged. Many of our teams do not fill their complete roster limit at this time and will leave open positions on their roster so that they can have room to add more players right before the season begins. Practice, attend summer training camps, and contact us at the end of the summer to inquire about late tryouts for the team. GPSA also offers recreational play for our U11-U12 (sometimes U13) players. There are no tryouts for recreational play so everyone gets on a team.
How much does competitive soccer cost? The competitive registration fee for LOCAL Fall 2019/Spring 2020 is $220. (WDDOA Fees are an additional $100) This fee covers both the Fall and Spring play. New competitive players will also be responsible for purchasing a uniform; as of right now, the cost of is $245. The current uniform has been in use since Fall 2017 and will be replaced Fall 2020. The price of the uniform may change but be aware there will be a uniform cost.
When will we have to pay? For your convenience we have set up payment arrangements as follows: 1st Payment of $245 due by June 15th, 2nd Payment of $110 due July 15th and Final Payment of $110 due August 15th, with total amount paid in full by August 15th. When does the Fall season start? Games will not start until some time in September depending on which circuit your team is playing. It is up to each coach as to when they begin practicing. Many competitive coaches will practice throughout the summer with flexibility given to players' summer vacations and other activities. Some may opt to do a tournament(s) prior to the first seasonal games. Tournaments come at an additional cost. Most coaches start practice in earnest sometime in August. Your coach will give you this information.
